Having Problems with Conservative Players
I’m having problems about playing against conservative players, typically at small tables, roughly 6 or less at an instance.
One thing I notice is that I play well in NL$50 when my opponents are more aggressive. I don’t know why but it appears that things are easier for me when I play with aggressive ones and that I always get “easy money” from such kind of players.
Playing against conservative players on the other hand is a different thing. In my case, playing against them doesn’t bring in much money. Well, I may sometimes win pots but actually not enough for me to be satisfied.
Typically, when I play with conservative players, I try to raise and bet so hard here and there hoping that I will appear to them like I’m bluffing, but unfortunately they will just call me down with only small bets in the later part. Because of this, I’m now wondering if how can I get big pots by playing against conservative players. How should I deal with such kind of players?
Please I need your help.

Codie,
Conservative players are solid and tight. You are going to have problems winning pots from them because they are playing properly. The only way to counteract a tight player is to play looser or play small pot poker with a wide array of hands and punish them when you connect on a fortunate flop. You might be better suited to try and target the easy money. There is plenty of it out there. Why not take advantage of it?
