At Party Poker

For some time now, I’ve been observing the 2000 buy-in limit at Party Poker. I’m interested in getting betting patterns on players so that I can later on categorize my opponents and finally get a feel for the table.

One time, as I observe that certain buy-in limit, I’ve noticed that most players are playing multi tables and always actually show down winning hands. I guess they are just after of a hand and at the same time for a trap. In your opinion, is this a good strategy? If not, well what strategy can you suggest to me? By the way, such players are typically up 1k, 2, at times 3 or 4k depending on the cards I believe.

Thanks in advance. Your help will be very much appreciated.

Great site!

Robi,

Most pros will tell you that to maximize profits, you need to multi table. When players multi-table, they will be playing a lot of strong hands and mucking the majority or marginal ones. I personally think that this is a good solid strategy. It is probably going to be the best long term strategy for making a steady profit in the game. Try this approach at a lower limit and see how it works for you.
