Playing online poker can sometimes be very frustrating if you are just getting cold cards. The feeling of sitting with multiple tables open and just getting bad cards for hours can get you down. Of course this doesn’t cost as much money like when you are getting good cards and gets outsucked but nevertheless a not so pleasant feeling. But then it happens, you get the pocket rockets and everything feels better.

The fact that the player under the gun raises just before you makes you smile and think that finally you will win something. Sadly this doesn’t happen that often and sometimes you will lose to a hand that hits a miracle two outer or even worse, the other raiser has pocket aces as well.

But the fact that the best hand in poker is so beautiful to watch, preflop can change in an instant when the flop comes something like ten, jack, queen or even worse, a all the same color flop in a color that you don´t have the ace to hunt the flush in it. A painful and sometimes costly experience can be the one when refuse to fold the best hand preflop simply because you feel that you are up against a better hand once the flop comes.

After all money not lost is just as much valued as money you win. But the feeling is not as good. And maybe thats why so many people have trouble folding their favorite hand. Kill your darlings is something you must learn or else you will to often lose a big pot against a better hand. Maybe a flopped set or a random two pair that can be hard to see and even harder to fold against. Of course this isn’t all bad since you often sit in the opposite position.

Holding a small pair and flops a set against the player that refuses to let go of his or hers big pocket pair. After all every coin has two sides and you can win just as much against this kind of play that you can lose doing it.
