Acquainting Oneself to Family Card Games for Children

Wondering if children can join their parents playing family card games? Well, children can actually join their parents playing. There are many card games nowadays that parents and children can play together. In fact, just some of these card games are Donkey Buttons, My ship Sails, My Star Twinkles, and My Bee Buzzes.

Donkey Buttons

Is a fun game typically played by three players or more. To play the game, you must be able to get a four of a kind and then shout “Donkey!”, and quickly get a button at the table. The number of buttons is lesser than the number of players, so the last one to grab won’t have one and so will become a D. Game continues till someone becomes a D-O-N-K-E-Y. At the end of the game, the D-O-N-K-E-Y must hee-haw three times.

My Ship Sails

Perfect card game for all ages. Typically, it is played by four or more players. To win the game, you must get seven cards of the same suit. Game starts in players looking at the their hand and one by one then pass on card to the left, and then receive one card from the right at the same time. Game ends when there is already a player who holds seven cards of the suit.

My Star Twinkles

Is a game just like My Ship Sails except that you only need to get five cards of the same suit in order to win.

My Bee Buzzes

Is also game just like My Ship Sails but this time you only need to get six cards of the same suit in order to win. Every player gets seven cards but only need six to end the hand.
